St. Louis Ponds is a compound of seven constructed ponds near Gervais, south of Woodburn. It is managed by the ODFW as a day-use area for warm-water fishing and dog training, and it provides fair to good fishing in a pleasant setting of mowed fields, grasslands, and tall stands of cottonwood and oak trees. From the main parking lot, anglers can walk down pleasant, shaded hiking trails to any one of the seven ponds. Principal catches include stocked legal-size trout, largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, crappie and sunfish. The ponds are open all year from dawn to dusk.
